THE FOUR SEASONS

For many years I've collected detritus- odd bits of plastic from beaches, broken toys, flattened bottle tops, discarded objects that in some way act as triggers to memory real or fictitious.
The Seasons, so distinct in Britain, I felt were best depicted by colour. Originally I was going to make them rather 'cool' and simple, completely abstract spheres then, at the end of a day of working at something else altogether, playing around with a rusty key and a pair of ceramic eyes suddenly the face of Autumn appeared and one thing led to another!!

Materials: Ceramic, recycled and found objects on resin and steel.
