Jayne Lenihan:

Paper Collage and added colour

All the ideas for my work come from the views of the bay around Teignmouth, particularly Shaldons iconic ' Ness'. Working as as a postlady gives me the opportunity to observe the sea and the sky in all seasons, lights and weather conditions.

All my work is made using ripped paper as a starting point, adding inks, acrylic paint and wax crayons to build up a variety of textures, before assembling the final composition. It is experimenting and creating the textures that facinates me.
