Heidi Keep:
I have always 'done art' from early childhood - playing with various materials including sticky-back plastic!
Carrying on in that tradition, I am more formally working with mixed media and currently working towards a BA in Fine Art in the process.
In the last few years I have produced ceramics and stained glass. Latterly I have been experimenting with resin, fibreglass and plastics as well as re-cycled materials.
Much of my inspiration comes from nature and most recently my family history. I also have a humorous approach to some subjects which may be observed in some of my work.
'Rhiannon - past into present': medium - clear resin, dried and fresh plant material, images on acetates of female family members.
Inspired by 'Ophelia' by Millais
Work in progress: 'Memories' - medium: re-cycled plaster and cob, wood, cardboard, grout, cardboard and photocopy image.
Part of 'House' project. Do walls/houses have memories?
'All of Time' - medium: vacuum-formed plastic, photocopied image, silk thread.
Part of 'Time' project. I have been looking at how 'ghosts' of one time may pass, into another time or exist simultaneously. Who knows
