Want Not Waste Lots

I am a creative person who is inspired by nature. I love all creative art forms including music, theatre, painting and multi-media; in the last few years I have focused on sculpture.

Nature has so many intricacies, exemplified by the Fibonacci sequence - which is a big inspiration in my work. I think very mathematically and see the world as a system of ordered chaos, I want my work to reflect and find a place in this system.
When I am working I let my inspiration guide the materials, choosing whichever I think is most suitable for the form at hand. I love combining materials and also like to try and find a purpose for my work.
I am very passionate about Climate Issues and have spent considerable time researching this subject.
I was thinking about how wasteful society is today, we expect to have any type of food any day all through the year, and fulfilling this supermarkets often throw away tonnes of food.
Companies create throwaway items out of non-bio-degradable and often toxic materials. Items are not created to last or the companies would go out of business. (Besides who would want last years model anyway!)
I though of the oft quoted motto: "Waste Not Want Not" - from the war years, when no scrap could be wasted.
I think a more suitable tagline for the modern western world would be:
"Want Not Waste Lots!"
I have decided to encapsulate these words in the style of a giant floral wreath - lamenting our worlds destruction. The obvious choice to build it from was of course rubbish! The circular shape itself and colours will also reference the earth giving more depth to the piece.
