GLOBAL GLADIATOR
Music Inspiration
We wanted to use an old faded globe and reuse a bright orange curtain bought to make a Halloween costume, as the base of the piece rather than throw them away.
Through this piece we wanted to explore global warming.
The piece reflects the idea of the earth bursting open and the hot magma spilling out, also the orange colour picks up the idea of the heat and global warming melting the ice.
The sand timer hints of time, the feathers refer to Mercury a messenger and the armour a warrior.
