"Climate change..what climate change ?"

International scientific consensus agrees that increasing levels of man-made greenhouse gases are leading to global climate change - with effects on temperature, sea levels and global weather.
James Lovelock of "Gaia" fame predicts that the consequence of climate change in the United Kingdom will be warmer and wetter weather while other landlocked countries will be experiencing drought.
It feels to many of us that the government is not wholeheartedly taking on board the evidence and repeatedly fails to make the changes to policy necessary to make any significant difference to our social behaviour.
The sculpture is of a pin striped suited bureaucrat, clutching his umbrella, ready for a rainstorm while continuing to obstinately deny what scientists are saying to him.
This sculpture is made of recycled fabric, cement, salvaged wire and wood and surplus household paint and varnish.
I work mainly in recycled materials, usually textiles and mixed media tending towards 3 dimensional structures and vessels. I am inspired by the shapes and forms of the natural world and our connection with nature on our journey through life.
