Reclaiming Beauty

As an artist maker I have sought to combine my drive to reuse and recycle with an interest in contemporary furniture.
My approach has been in working at the domestic scale. Revealing the memory that remains in a house as a result of the individuals that have lived and visited there and the furniture within it which inhabits the space as much as people.
The idea that every piece of furniture retains a unique memory of every person who has ever touched it, loved it.
The result is a quirky collection of functional, reinvented pieces made from salvaged wood & furniture. Utilising broken and discarded objects to create a range of shelving, tables, benches, storage units and seats to be loved by another generation.
I enjoy working with clients to undertake commissions to revitalise that beloved piece of family furniture.
