The NHS Can Seriously Damage Your Health.

Having spent considerable time in the NHS's clammy embrace over the past three years, I had ample opportunity to get to know it well. The title is actually plagiarized from an article in a nurse's publication explaining that the NHS's present structure demoralizes the staff and makes them mentally and physically unwell and thus less capable of delivering their best care to their patients. My sculpture is a way of doffing my hat to its author while expressing my feelings about the tumour which surruptitiously almost ended my life.

It is an example of therapeutical art where the maker claws out the anger, self pity, shock and horror and locks them all away into a difficult piece of work.

It is entirely made up of discarded materials retrieved from or destined for the tip.
